As part of my MA in Arts, Health and Wellbeing research I have been exploring how personal memory, identity, stories and wellbeing can be expressed through creative processes rooted in my own art practice.
I am driven by a curiosity about life and the journeys we take as individuals and want to share this enthusiasm. I am reconnecting with my own creative language and developing methods that I can share in health and wellbeing settings to help people explore their own stories through art.
I work across sculpture, drawing, mould making and mixed media techniques to make life-sized self-portraits, anatomical forms, wax objects, and symbolic “Life Seals” made from personal items. I revisit places from my past, cast meaningful objects, and use materials like wax, clay, and marbled fabric to externalise memory and belonging.
This body of work has helped me rediscover the power of making as a way to reflect, connect, and honour personal experience. It has affirmed my belief that everyone has a unique imprint—a “stamp on life”—and that art can be a joyful, empowering way to share. I am adapting these methods to work collaboratively with others, helping them create their own life souvenirs and visual stories—see art with people.
